Ripon College Athletics

Louisa Gebelein-Jones was an outstanding basketball and tennis player while at Ripon. During her three years on the varsity basketball team, she was either captain or co-captain each year. In addition, she was the team’s leading scorer, and the second-highest scorer in the conference in 1976-77, the year Ripon won the WIC-WAC as a senior. She also played volleyball for three years and participated in track, holding a school record in a relay event. She was a 1978 winner of the Pickard Award and an officer of the “R” Club.
