A two-time All-American and two-time Midwest Conference North Division Player of the Year, Michael is one of Ripon College’s greatest baseball players. Playing only two seasons with the Red Hawks, Polcyn helped Ripon to the Midwest Conference title in 2015 and is a two-time all-region selection in addition to becoming the 2014 Central Region Player of the Year. Polcyn is tied for second in school history with a career .403 batting average and holds the school record for on-base percentage (.501) which is third in MWC history. He is tied for fourth in school history with 25 career home runs, and also holds the program’s top career slugging percentage mark at .792. Polcyn ranked inside the top five in Division III homers in both 2014 and 2015 and was also in the top five nationally in 2014 in slugging percentage (.823), total bases (121), on-base percentage (.532) and runs scored (56). He was named to the All-Tournament team at the 2015 La Crosse Regional and signed an undrafted free agent contract with the St. Louis Cardinals.
